$50 For One Picture? Where To Get Easter Bunny Photos And What To Expect

If you don’t celebrate Easter, you’re probably not interested in visiting the famous bunny. However if you do, I might suggest that it is very worthwhile for a hilarious and adorable memory with your young children even if it doesn’t go as planned.
Maelle is only 1.5 and we hadn’t gone to take pictures for Easter before. I found the options and price online with packages ranging from $40-$60 and thought that was fair for a professional Photo Booth. They also don’t charge anything if you don’t like the photos.. bonus! Because heads up parents, if your kids are 3 and under you can expect the unexpected and you just might not get what you were planning to pay for.

We decided on going to the bunny at the Maplewood Mall because they had a lot of availability for sessions, it wasn’t too far of a drive, and we figured we would make a little experience out of it with some of the mall offerings. You can book your session online but they also take walk ups (which I highly recommend!) because then you don’t have to feel rushed for a specific time slot.. and there wasn’t a line so we walked right in. Remember, this isn’t Santa so the rage to get in to see the bunny doesn’t come with the same level of high demand.
To get started, they asked for our phone number, and we walked in for photos. Maelle absolutely loved the bunny. You have to take a look at our reel to see her giving him a high five and wanting all of his attention. Seriously hilarious, we weren’t sure what to expect and were mostly happy that she wasn’t afraid of him.

The concept of sitting down and posing wasn’t something she was interested in, and I might add the photographer and assistants were not exactly the most helpful with getting her attention and didn’t help with posing options or suggestions. That could be different for you with different staff and locations. So my husband and I instead, played defense trying to get her to sit and then running after her for another shot. Makes for some good cardio! But we were laughing the whole time because it was really quite cute and funny. I suggest having an idea what your wanting to aim for with your picture upon arrival because you might not get any help from your photographer either.

At the end of our ~10 minute experience, we were happy with one photo from our efforts. She is standing next to him holding a carrot. Definitely not a classic ‘sit on the bunny’s lap and smile’ photo but it’s pretty cute for our first try. We bought the digital photo package and we paid about $46 with tax and our images were texted to us via link within 30 mins. We also received 2 prints to take home.
Nearly 50 bucks for one picture? That doesn't sound like a great deal at a glance, but with our experience and memories included we felt it was worth splurging a little coin.

We will absolutely go again in years to come. I would definitely recommend it! We certainly made some great memories and are happy we have the photo to share with family and to keep in her baby book.
If you decide to also go to the Maplewood Mall, I highly suggest going on the beautiful carousel! Maelle absolutely loved it. They also have a train ride ride on cars, and so many other activities for older kids too and a food court. Plus, shopping of course!
