Tips To Avoid Conventional Candies for your Easter Baskets This Year

Updated: Apr 6

If you want to treat your family to some fun candies and activities, here’s a few less conventional and fun ways to fill your Easter baskets and enjoy the spring we have been ready for!

It’s so fun going into the store around the holidays and to see all the decor, candies, holiday themed treats, and to start picking out fun little gifts! If you’re anything like me, I love finding fun yummy candies and things but I’m constantly kicking myself with the amount of high sugar, highly processed options from common brands offered in most stores that don’t exactly fall anywhere near the healthy option. That being said, I’m still going to grab a pack of Cadbury eggs simply for the tradition! But it’s nice to compare and look at a handful of alternative options to potentially swap out.

Additionally, there are a bunch of fun options for kids that do not require any sugar at all! A fun new planting set, summer water shoes, books, or a new water bottle are great basket fillers. If youre looking for something more personal or custom, I bought my daughter a monogrammed beach towel (or you can do a bath towel) for a unique special gift. Mark & Graham or Pottery Barn have great options.

If candies and gifting isn’t your idea for Easter, try an Easter themed activity! Print out coloring pages, go on a family walk and make nature bracelets, or turn egg dying into a fun science experience!

After all the fun treats and activities, slow down with a less stimulating Easter show in the living room to watch as a family.

At the end of the day, choose what is most fun and memorable that works for your family and enjoy the holiday! 🐣
