The Best of Apple Orchards & Pumpkin Patches- East Metro Reviews

Let me just start with being frank about my view on fall activities... unless a particular venue has poor quality items and offerings, sour faced staff, and/or crabby owners, I'm probably going to love it! I can't help but indulge in fun when it comes to harvest season. Hot cider, cozy sweaters and vests amongst other fall fashion, pumpkins, leaves changing, scented candles, red wine, hay rides, Halloween... the list goes on! And although we always miss summer, I have a hard time finding anyone hating on the autumn season.

1. Country Sun Farms- Lake Elmo

   One of the most convenient locations and a place specifically targeted for kids of all ages. Farm animals and petting, pumpkins galore, games, slides, and more! They had a huge variety of pumpkins from itty bitty sizes to hard to carry sizes and also many different colors and also decorative gourds and squash. You can pick up your carving kit here too! 2. Aamodt's Apple Orchard- Stillwater

   6428 Manning Ave N, Stillwater, MN 55082

   You can't say enough great thingss about Aamodt's- it's a staple around here! Home of the Honeycrisp Apple and open year round, you can pop in to pick up or pick your own apples, order food and drink to relax, shop in the gift shop, let the kids run in the fields and play on the playground, take a hayride, and enjoy the weekend and seasonal pop ups. Dogs welcome!

4. Pine Tree Apple Orchard- White Bear Lake

   450 Apple Orchard Rd, White Bear Lake, MN 55110

   Seasonal strawberry & apple picking at a farm with a corn maze, orchard walks & a cider store. This is a smaller venue, but still a great spot for families. The owners are some of the kindest and welcoming people you will meet! Expect the white glove treatment.

5. Afton Apple

   14421 90th St S, Hastings, MN 55033

   Again, I have to give great credit to this staff and owners! Everyone is so kind and welcoming, you really feel like family walking in there. Pick your own apples and berries in over 250 acres in the heart of the St. Croix Valley. Admission ranges from free to $7 depending on the day and activites are you are looking to do. 6. Ziertman’s Pumpkin Farm- Lake Elmo

   5761 Keats Ave N, Lake Elmo, MN 55042

   Expect to be offered corn stalks, more than 5 kinds of squash, gourds, mini pumpkins, decorative corn and all sizes of pumpkins. This is a small but great farm to pick up your fall essentials and have fun doing it. Hungry for some corn on the cob? Here is the best spot to stop!
