Summer Sunday's in Stillwater

Updated: Mar 8

If the sun is out and preferably a light breeze- head to Stillwater! Outside of the awesome brunch and restaurant options, treats and sweets, shopping, boat rides, food trucks, and cool cocktails, you will find walking around to be entertaining and refreshing! Walking main street is fun, however the open grass and walkways near the river make for a fun area for families and kids to play and burn off some energy.

We usually start with brunch, or a quick walk before brunch after finding parking. There are so many yummy options. One casual place in particular we like which is right off the water with views of the walking bridge and pedestrians is Charlie's. This is a great spot for breakfast and a bloody, or a great stop after a hike across the river.

Stop in to MN Nice Cream to cool off with an over-the-top ice cream cone or other yummy treats.

Down by the water is the P.D. Pappys restaurant and bar which is usually very busy with great music and happy patrons with cocktails in hand. However, if you go early in the spring expect this place not to be open due to the river flooding.

The Freight House is a great Sunday spot as they have a huge outdoor patio and play live music in the afternoon. You will see lots of little kids get up and dance to the music to make for a fun experience.

Stillwater is also known for many festivals and pop up events that are fun for families and friends.

If you haven't given one of your Sunday's to Stillwater yet- I highly recommend it!
